3. About Jobbar Ltd
Jobbar is operated by Jobbar Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15011422.
Our registered office is 2 Albany Road, Northampton, NN1 5LZ, Northamptonshire, England, United Kingdom. Our VAT number is 510082838. You can contact us at support@job-bar.com.
Jobbar is intended primarily for users located in the United Kingdom. We may restrict access to the platform where required for operational, legal, regulatory, tax, data protection or compliance reasons.
4. Eligibility and age requirements
Jobbar is available to individuals aged 16 or over. By using Jobbar, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and that the information you provide is accurate. During registration, all users must actively confirm they meet this minimum age requirement; if you indicate that you are under 16, registration will not proceed and no account will be created.
If you use Jobbar on behalf of a business, employer, recruitment agency or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms. Where you do not have such authority, you must not create or use an employer account.
We may refuse registration, suspend access or terminate an account where we reasonably believe that a user is under 16, lacks authority to act for an employer, has provided inaccurate information, has breached these Terms or presents a risk to the platform or other users. If we become aware that an account was created by a person under 16, we will close that account.
Users aged 16 or 17 (“Younger Users”) may use Jobbar on the same basis as other users, subject to the following additional default protections: (a) no targeted advertising is served to or based on Younger User accounts; (b) Jobbar’s paid features are not promoted to Younger Users through targeted in-app marketing; and (c) privacy-protective defaults are applied to Younger User profile visibility. These protections apply automatically and do not require any action from the Younger User.
5. Account registration and security
To access most features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must not share your password, allow another person to use your account or attempt to access another user’s account.
You must notify us promptly at support@job-bar.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account or any security incident affecting your use of Jobbar.
We may require verification of your email address, telephone number, identity, employment status, company affiliation or payment details before allowing access to certain features.
6. Candidate profiles and professional information
Candidates may create profiles containing professional, educational and career-related information. This may include employment history, education, skills, qualifications, work preferences, CVs, portfolio links, profile images, social links and other information that a candidate chooses to provide.
You are responsible for ensuring that your profile is accurate, lawful, not misleading and not infringing any third-party rights. You must not claim qualifications, roles, experience, certifications, licences, security clearances or employment history that you do not hold.
Jobbar does not undertake to verify every item of candidate information. Employers are responsible for carrying out their own checks before making recruitment decisions, including right to work checks, qualification checks, reference checks, professional registration checks and any other verification required by law or good recruitment practice.
You should not upload sensitive personal information unless it is strictly necessary for your intended use of the platform. Jobbar is not designed to collect unnecessary health, equality, criminal record or other special category information from candidates.
7. Employer accounts and recruiter use
Employers may create accounts to advertise vacancies, view candidate information, access matching services, communicate with matched candidates and purchase recruitment services.
An employer account must be used only for legitimate recruitment, employer branding, workforce planning and related professional purposes. Employers must not use Jobbar for unlawful discrimination, harassment, spam, scraping, competitive intelligence gathering, misleading advertising or any purpose unrelated to genuine employment or recruitment activity.
Employers are responsible for the acts and omissions of their administrators, recruiters, hiring managers, employees, agents and any person using their employer account. Employers must ensure that access permissions are appropriate and that account users comply with these Terms, the Employer Terms, applicable laws and internal policies.
We may request evidence of company identity, trading status, authority, VAT status, billing details or recruiter affiliation. We may refuse, suspend or remove employer accounts that appear misleading, fraudulent, abusive, inactive, unauthorised or otherwise unsuitable for Jobbar.
8. Dual-role accounts
Jobbar may allow a user to operate both a candidate profile and an employer or recruiter profile. Where you use dual-role functionality, you must keep the relevant uses separate and must not misuse access obtained in one role for another purpose.
A dual-role user must not use candidate access to obtain confidential employer information, and must not use employer access to target, harass, profile or monitor individuals for non-recruitment purposes.
We may restrict, separate, audit or suspend dual-role access where necessary to protect users, maintain platform integrity, comply with law or investigate suspected misuse.
9. Job advertisements and recruitment content
Employers are solely responsible for job advertisements and recruitment content submitted to Jobbar. Job advertisements must be accurate, lawful, fair, transparent and not misleading.
state the role, employer and location clearly where applicable;
describe salary, pay range, working arrangements, contract type and material conditions accurately;
avoid unlawful discrimination and comply with equality legislation;
not advertise roles that are fake, misleading, expired, exploitative or unlawful;
not require unlawful fees from candidates;
not request unnecessary sensitive information at an inappropriate stage of the recruitment process; and
not promote pyramid schemes, illegal work, adult exploitation, unsafe work or any opportunity that Jobbar considers unsuitable.
Jobbar may review, reject, edit, remove, demote or restrict job advertisements where we reasonably believe that they breach these Terms, the Employer Terms, applicable law, platform standards or user safety expectations. Approval or publication of a job advertisement by Jobbar does not mean that Jobbar endorses, verifies or guarantees the role or employer.
10. Matching, recommendations and ranking
Jobbar provides matching and recommendation functionality. This may include swipe-based discovery, mutual matching, profile recommendations, job recommendations, candidate suggestions, ranking signals, search filters and AI-assisted recommendations.
Matching functionality is intended to help users discover potentially relevant opportunities or candidates. It does not guarantee suitability, compatibility, employment, interview selection, candidate availability, job offer, acceptance, performance, retention or any particular outcome.
Recommendations may be influenced by information such as profile content, skills, location, work preferences, employer criteria, user actions, engagement patterns, subscription features, platform safety signals and product testing. Recommendations may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date or affected by information supplied by users.
Jobbar does not make final hiring decisions. Employers remain responsible for all recruitment decisions, including shortlisting, interviewing, selection, rejection, offer terms, right to work checks and compliance with employment law. Candidates remain responsible for deciding whether to engage with an employer or opportunity.
We may change matching logic, ranking factors, recommendation features and visibility rules at any time to improve relevance, safety, fairness, product performance, commercial operation or legal compliance.
11. Messaging and file sharing
Jobbar may allow matched users to communicate by direct message and to share files, including CVs and professional documents. Messaging is provided for professional recruitment, networking and employment-related communication only.
You must not use messaging to harass, threaten, abuse, discriminate against, spam, deceive, solicit inappropriate personal information from, or otherwise harm another user.
You are responsible for files you upload or send. Files must be lawful, safe, virus-free and relevant to the professional purpose for which they are shared. You must not upload malware, executable code, unlawful material, confidential information that you are not authorised to share or content that infringes third-party rights.
We may monitor, review, restrict, remove or disclose messages and files where permitted by law and where necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, support, enforcement of these Terms or protection of users.
12. Community feed and professional discussions
Jobbar includes community and feed functionality for professional discussion. Users may be able to create posts, comment, react, upvote, downvote, share links and upload media.
Community areas are intended for lawful, respectful and professional discussion. Users must comply with the Community Guidelines and must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, obscene, misleading, fraudulent, spam, malicious, confidential, infringing or otherwise inappropriate for a professional platform.
User reactions, upvotes, downvotes, comments and engagement signals may affect visibility of content. Jobbar may use automated tools, keyword filters, banned phrase lists and manual review to moderate content. We may remove, restrict or demote content and suspend or terminate accounts where appropriate.
Jobbar is not responsible for user opinions, statements, claims, advice or recommendations posted in community areas. User Content does not represent the views of Jobbar unless expressly stated by an authorised representative.
13. User Content and licence to Jobbar
You retain ownership of intellectual property rights in User Content that you create and submit to Jobbar, subject to any rights owned by third parties.
By submitting User Content to Jobbar, you grant Jobbar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, format, display, publish, distribute, communicate, make available and otherwise use that User Content for the purpose of operating, securing, improving, promoting and providing Jobbar.
This licence includes the right to display your profile, job advertisements, community posts and other User Content to other users where consistent with your settings and platform functionality. It also includes the right to make technical modifications required to store, transmit, display, resize, transcode, preview, moderate or secure content.
You confirm that you have all rights, permissions and authority required to submit User Content and grant the licence described above. You are responsible for ensuring that User Content does not infringe copyright, trade marks, database rights, confidentiality rights, privacy rights, employment obligations or any other rights of any person.
14. Prohibited conduct
You must not use Jobbar in any way that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, misleading, fraudulent, exploitative or inconsistent with the professional purpose of the platform.
create a false identity, impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with an employer;
post fake jobs, fake profiles, fake reviews or misleading professional information;
scrape, harvest, copy, bulk-download, crawl or extract data from Jobbar without written permission;
circumvent technical restrictions, security controls, rate limits, paywalls or access permissions;

use bots, scripts, automation, fake engagement, click farms or artificial manipulation;
upload malware, spyware, ransomware, harmful code or content designed to disrupt systems;
conduct phishing, credential harvesting, social engineering or fraud;
send spam, unsolicited marketing, mass messages or irrelevant recruitment approaches;
discriminate unlawfully or use Jobbar to exclude, target or disadvantage protected groups;
harass, bully, threaten, intimidate, exploit or abuse any person;
share confidential information without authority;
use candidate information for purposes unrelated to genuine recruitment;
sell, resell, sublicense or commercially exploit Jobbar data without written permission;
interfere with the operation, availability, security or integrity of Jobbar.
We may investigate suspected prohibited conduct and may take enforcement action without prior notice where necessary.
15. Subscriptions, paid services and billing
Jobbar may offer free services, premium candidate subscriptions, employer subscriptions, pay-per-job services, promoted listings, add-on features, enhanced visibility, messaging credits, analytics, verification features and other paid services.
The price, billing period, included features, renewal rules and cancellation method for a paid service will be presented at or before the point of purchase. You are responsible for reviewing the applicable purchase information before completing a transaction.
Payments may be processed by Apple, Google, Stripe or another authorised payment processor. Where a purchase is made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, billing, cancellation and refunds may be handled by the relevant app store according to its own terms and policies. Jobbar may not be able to cancel or refund app store purchases directly.
Where you purchase directly from Jobbar or through a payment processor acting for Jobbar, you authorise Jobbar or the payment processor to charge the applicable fees, taxes and other amounts due. You must provide accurate billing information and keep payment details up to date.
Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You must cancel before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. Access to paid features may continue until the end of the paid period unless otherwise stated or required by law.
We may change prices, features, billing periods or subscription plans. Where required by law, we will give appropriate notice before changes take effect. If you do not agree to a change, you may cancel your subscription before the change applies.
16. Consumer cancellation rights and refunds
Where you purchase a paid service as a consumer in the United Kingdom, statutory cancellation rights may apply depending on the nature of the service, the method of purchase and whether the service or digital content has begun.
For app store purchases, cancellation and refund rights are generally managed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You should follow the refund and cancellation process provided by the relevant app store.
For direct purchases from Jobbar, the cancellation and refund information shown at the point of purchase will apply, together with any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be excluded. Where you request immediate access to digital content or services during any cooling-off period, you may lose certain cancellation rights or be required to pay for services supplied before cancellation, to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. Business customers may have different cancellation and refund rights from consumers.
17. Free trials, promotions and credits
Jobbar may offer free trials, introductory prices, promotional credits, discounts or limited-time offers. Promotional terms may vary and may be subject to eligibility requirements, usage limits, expiry dates and additional conditions.
Unless stated otherwise, promotional credits have no cash value, are non-transferable and may be withdrawn if obtained through fraud, abuse, error or breach of these Terms.
Where a free trial converts into a paid subscription, we will provide information about the trial duration, price and renewal terms at the point of sign-up. You are responsible for cancelling before the end of the trial if you do not wish to continue with a paid subscription.
18. Taxes and VAT
Prices may be inclusive or exclusive of VAT depending on the service, customer type, purchase channel and information presented at checkout.
Employers and business customers are responsible for providing accurate billing, VAT and tax information. Jobbar may issue invoices or receipts electronically. If you believe an invoice contains an error, you must contact us promptly at support@job-bar.com.
19. App stores and mobile application terms
Where you download or use Jobbar through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, additional terms imposed by Apple, Google or the relevant app store operator may apply. In the event of inconsistency between these Terms and mandatory app store terms, the app store terms will apply to the extent required for the relevant app distribution channel.
You acknowledge that Apple and Google are not responsible for providing support, maintenance, warranties or claims handling for Jobbar except to the extent required by applicable app store terms. Any claims relating to Jobbar should be directed to Jobbar Ltd at support@job-bar.com.
You must comply with all applicable app store rules, device rules, operating system terms and third-party service terms when using Jobbar.

Employers must ensure that recruitment decisions are fair, lawful, transparent and based on appropriate criteria. Employers must not use Jobbar to make decisions that unlawfully discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or any other protected characteristic.
Jobbar provides tools to facilitate introductions and communications. Jobbar does not act as an employment agency, employment business, employer of record, payroll provider, immigration adviser, legal adviser, HR adviser or background-checking provider unless expressly agreed in writing.
Employers remain responsible for all candidate communications, interviews, assessments, offers, rejections, employment contracts, onboarding, right to work checks, references, safeguarding checks, regulatory checks and any other steps required before employment or engagement.
21. Candidate responsibility
Candidates are responsible for assessing whether an opportunity, employer, recruiter or message is suitable before engaging further. You should exercise caution before sharing personal information, attending interviews, accepting offers or entering employment arrangements.
You must provide accurate information to employers and must not misrepresent qualifications, right to work status, experience, references, identity, availability or other material facts.
Jobbar does not guarantee the legitimacy, availability, salary, working conditions, culture, financial stability, conduct or suitability of any employer or opportunity. You should carry out your own checks and seek appropriate advice where necessary.
22. Data protection and privacy
Our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. By using Jobbar, you acknowledge that personal data will be collected, used and shared as described in that policy.
Employers that receive candidate personal data through Jobbar must handle that information lawfully, fairly and securely. Employers must use candidate data only for genuine recruitment purposes and must not retain, disclose or reuse candidate data in a manner inconsistent with applicable data protection law or our Employer Terms.
Users must not upload personal data relating to another person unless they have a lawful basis and all required permissions to do so. This includes references, photographs, CVs, screenshots, contact details, confidential workplace material and third-party documents.
23. Platform availability and changes
Jobbar is provided on an evolving basis. We may update, improve, modify, suspend, withdraw or discontinue any part of the platform, including features, designs, matching logic, subscription plans, pricing, integrations, eligibility rules and content policies.
We will use reasonable efforts to maintain platform availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or secure access. Access may be affected by maintenance, updates, outages, third-party failures, network issues, security events, legal requirements or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We may release beta, pilot or experimental features. Such features may be changed or withdrawn at any time and may be subject to additional terms.
24. Intellectual property owned by Jobbar
Jobbar, including the software, application, website, user interface, design, databases, algorithms, recommendation systems, text, graphics, trade marks, logos, branding and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Jobbar Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may stop using Jobbar at any time. You may request account closure through the platform or by contacting support@job-bar.com. Account closure may not automatically cancel subscriptions purchased through an app store; you must cancel those through the relevant app store account settings.
We may suspend, restrict or terminate your account immediately where we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, created risk for users, infringed rights, failed to pay fees, misused data, breached law, engaged in fraud or created security, reputational or operational risk.

The limitations in this clause apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and regardless of whether we were advised of the possibility of such loss.
30. Indemnity for business users and employers
If you use Jobbar as an employer, recruiter, agency, business or on behalf of an organisation, you agree to indemnify Jobbar Ltd and its directors, officers, employees and contractors against losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses arising from:
your breach of these Terms or the Employer Terms;

your misuse of candidate data;
your breach of employment, equality, immigration, advertising or data protection law;
claims made by candidates, employees, contractors, regulators or third parties arising from your recruitment activity;

You must not use or disclose confidential information except for the purpose for which it was provided and where you have authority to do so.

33. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes may be made to reflect new features, legal requirements, business practices, subscription models, app store requirements, security measures or platform policies.
Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by email, in-app notice, website notice or requiring acceptance of updated terms. Continued use of Jobbar after updated Terms take effect means that you accept the updated Terms.

You may not assign, transfer, sublicense or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.
We may assign, transfer, subcontract or delegate our rights and obligations under these Terms to an affiliate, successor, purchaser, acquirer or service provider, provided that this does not materially reduce your rights under these Terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be deemed modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid, lawful and enforceable. If modification is not possible, the relevant provision shall be treated as deleted. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a business user, employer or recruiter, the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
